Choose your difficulty and understand your score

The champion guessing game trades extra attempts for a higher possible score. Use the numbers to choose a useful challenge, then judge progress by how well you explain your guesses.

Choose a challenge you can learn from

Easy allows 10 guesses and a maximum of 20 points, Medium 8 and 28, Hard 6 and 36. The maximum applies to a correct first guess. If you often need several guesses to understand the feedback, Easy gives you space to experiment. Hard is more suitable when you can preserve confirmed attributes and eliminate candidates consistently. A larger maximum is not a promise of a larger score: an unfinished solution earns no win points.

How the score changes

The champion-game formula is maximum points × (attempt limit − guesses used + 1) ÷ attempt limit, rounded down. Easy pays 18 points on a correct second guess and 2 on the last. Medium pays 21 on the third. Hard pays 30 on the second and 6 on the last. Compare rounds on the same difficulty when judging improvement; raw totals from different modes do not show how efficiently you used the clues.

Review a round instead of repeating guesses

For a short practice routine, play one round, identify an avoidable wrong guess, and repeat at the same difficulty with that lesson in mind. Move up when your reasoning improves, rather than after one lucky win. The portrait and ability-icon recognition quizzes use a separate score of one point per correct answer out of five. Their scores stay in your browser session and do not increase your leaderboard score.

Points for each winning attempt

This table applies to the main champion guessing game. A lost round earns zero win points. Recognition quizzes use their separate score out of five; any ability-game extras are outside this table.
